2019 Patio Furniture and Accessories Collections

role and responsibilities: Lead art director responsible for capturing inspirational lifestyle photography of the 2019 patio furniture collections, providing design inspiration with our featured aesthetics, while also showing breadth of functionality and styles within the assortment. The images were primarily used to populate a 13-page e-commerce web and app experience, and used in other promotional advertising (print ads, social media, emails, etc.) as well. Over the course of nine months, I worked closely with two producers in two states (Minnesota and California) to assemble photography crews, find locations, and produce the shoots.

role and responsibilities: In my time as a Senior Art Director, my role included concepting and executing monthly and campaign photography needs across all home categories. I worked with site merchants and product designers to determine objectives before the shoot, and then with graphic designers and copywriters after to effectively incorporate the images into our target.com pages.

role and responsibilities: As a Style Editor on the magazine, I developed content and contributed story ideas for every issue. I collaborated with art, style, and editorial departments to conceive and produce stories which included ideas for beauty, decor, fashion, food, flowers, gifts, jewelry, registry, stationery and tabletop. I was responsible for procuring (commissioning, borrowing, or buying) all shoot items and props, constructing all the sets, and styling each shot.

role and responsibilities: Part of my role as a Style Editor at Martha Stewart Weddings magazine included the development of ideas for “real weddings” which were slated to be shot for the magazine, then traveling to style and shoot them on location.
